Renovating this older home was challenging because we didn’t know what we’d find behind the walls and under the floors. Working with a talented architect was the key to creating an open floor plan, leveling the floors and adding ceiling height where possible. Reusing the original stone in the entry way meant we needed to number and remove it, add a heated floor, and reassemble – the effect was worth it!
The finishes and furnishings were selected to enhance the cottage feel for today’s family, and to highlight the clients art collection. Each home and family are the ingredients for the design of the home, and the result for this special family is a comfortable, quirky home that reflects their style!
